Hurt Family History

The Hurt family name is not all that common. In spite of that fact, and in addition to the research I have done previously, I have found quite a bit of information on the Internet. I'm hoping to find others working on the same line. A homepage on the Internet is a new venture for me,
so if anyone has any suggestions as to how to make it better (or still yet, easier), please let me know. If you are related to the Hurt Family in any way, please let me know that also.
It appears that the family originated in England and entered the "Colonies" by way of Virginia and then into Kentucky. We have recently discovered a book with the Hurt family in it which covers about 15 generations. Some of that information is identical to what I found on the Internet.

Hurt Family Descendants

There are now four generations of descendants from Thomas Ray Hurt and Mabel Irene Ellis. We have lost contact over the years, but are now in the process of connecting again. Mom and Dad (especially Mom) was very strong on family ties. She and I used to go to Missouri every year after school was out to visit her parents. We always had a big get-together while we were there, and all the relatives would reminisce about bygone days. I wish I had paid more attention, but I was just a teenager then and could care less about genealogy. But I have much more information on Mom's family than I do Dad's. That is why I am trying to set up this web page -- to see if I can enlarge on the Hurt information.
